These cables are used to connect up to two IDE devices (Master and Slave) such as CD ROM/Writer, DVD ROM/Writer and older Hard Discs to the IDE controller on the motherboard.
The cable has 3 x 40 way headers attached to a 40 way cable capable of supporting 33 and 66 Mb/s.
Distance between Master and Slave connectors is 14cm
All 40 pin holes on each connector are open. Pin one is identified by a red stripe on the cable.
